English Premier League Aston Villa vs. Manchester United Preview/Prediction

What are your predictions for this game? Before you conclude, bear in mind that it is going to be a do or die affair for Aston Villa, who would be doing their entire best to try to avoid relegation. Also, for Manchester United, it’s going to be a struggle to avoid missing the next UEFA champions league. None of the#e two teams are going to take anything lightly.

Head to Head (H2H)

We can easily say that Aston Villa doesn’t seem to be posing any threat whatsoever to Manchester United. Their last five games together have been nothing but a disgrace to Aston Villa. The last time Aston won against Manchester United was in 2009 in a win that we can say was a lucky 1 – 0 win. Manchester United has always won, and in tomorrow’s game, we will see that even though Aston will be at home, they will have to put their life on the line to get away with this win or at least a draw (which they shouldn’t be settling for right now)

The winning margin

Since their last match in 2012, Manchester has not been able to get a higher winning margin above three goals even though they were always clearly the better side. Aston Villa has not proven to be so great with goals against Manchester United. The highest they have scored is two goals: in their last match in December last year.

Previous games records

Aston Villa obviously doesn’t have the energy to match any average premier league team at the moment. Well, we can see the result in the premier league standing. The once solid side has become so weak that they have not been able to win any match in their last five games. The only draw they’ve had was with Sheffield and Newcastle. They woefully lost against every other team they’ve faced in their previous 5 matches.

However, Manchester United has been at their best, since thrashing Manchester City 2 goals to nothing in March. The team went on to play a draw against Tottenham, and since then, no opponent has been able to stop their winning streak. Do you think Aston Villa can? Well, it’s unlikely. Very unlikely, but it’s possible. What matters is the will and the home advantage, they may come out victorious.

Teams

Both teams cannot be compared. The players in Manchester’s side are definitely a lot better on every side. As a matter of fact, Aston Villa’s defense cannot stand against Manchester United’s attack. And their attack also cannot stand against Manchester’s defense. The match looks to be in favor of United. However, Aston Villa isn’t going to make it easy since they are fighting to break free from the relegation zone.

Prediction/Verdict

This game seems to be in favor of Manchester United. Their records have proven so. Unless Aston Villa is going to perform a miracle, this game can be said to be an expected loss.

So the odds are going to be 7.5 for Aston Villa to win and 1.4 for Manchester to win. A draw is unlikely, but we can put it at 5.0.

May the best team win.
