NBA League Lakers vs. Rockets Preview

The Los Angeles Lakers and the Houston Rockets have made it through the first round of the playoffs and now it’s time for some bigger challenges. Both teams had a really fierce battle with the teams that they had to play against in the first round. Hopefully, that would make them bring in more force and zeal to win. I believe that it’s going to be an intense duel leading to an exciting game.

In this article, we’ll try to compare and contrast their stats to see which team is in a better position to win in their game tomorrow. We’ll take a close look at their head to head stats, their previous games, and what the outcomes were, and then we’ll predict what the results would be so that you can have a clearer understanding of the situation before you stake your money.

Head to Head

If we’re going to compare the records of these two teams and use it to judge what the outcome of tomorrow’s game would be, then we would pretty much hand the title to the Los Angeles Lakers. The Houston Rockets have been good against other teams but obviously not against the Lakers. Let’s hope that they’ll increase the energy they brought to the first round to go further in the playoffs.

The Los Angeles Lakers and the Houston Rockets have played a total of 223 regular-season games, and as you may have already guessed, the Lakers are on top with a considerable margin. The Lakers have won 138 of the 223 games while the Rockets have only won 85. The Lakers would have to lose over 50 games for the Rockets to meet up, and with the current form that the Los Angeles Lakers are in, we’re not going to be seeing that anytime soon.

The records in the playoffs don’t speak a different language from the ones in the regular-season games. The two teams have played a total of 35 games and as usual, the Lakers are ahead. Although this time the margin isn’t too large, we can say that it is because they haven’t played so many times. Let’s take a look at their previous games in the season.

Previous Games Records

The Lakers haven’t had a bad season in the regular-season games. They have done spectacularly well enough to be where they are. Well, why wouldn’t they? They’re the Lakers, remember? They have recorded winning streaks of up to 10 games just this season. Although there are teams in the Eastern conference that have won more, 10 wins in a row isn’t an easy feat.

The Houston Rockets kicked off the regular season with incredible energy. Their winning streaks began pretty early in the regular-season games after they lost their first match, they immediately started a winning streak from the second. They have had a really high winning streak of 8-games and it’s currently their longest streak in the 2019/2020 season.

Predictions/Verdict

We’ll place the odds at 1.8 for the Lakers to win and 2.3 for the Rockets to win.

May the better side win.
